Shame about that dash. It’s really awful. Looks like everything is just stuck on there.
The rear hatch is also interesting. It looks like a hatchback as opposed to a wagon. Imagine if they had extended the roof line all the way to the bumper - it would look so much better. The front looks okay though, I guess.

I think there will be like 5 yellow ones and 500 of the others.
That’s about it, actually. Wagons aren’t very popular in C anada either. I am glad we get them though.

I spent a while looking at this thing last night. I don’t LOVE it, but its undeniably pretty. I wish they tried a little bit less hard for the “coupe” thing, and had the glass in the rear of the car line up with the roof. Those huge ass pillars look like a PITA from a visibility standpoint, and i honestly think bigger rear windows would look better. Right now it DOES have that audi A7/kia stinger rear end going on when you squint and look at just the glass. The thing is, i think those cars are kinda ugly.
Buuut that was a big paragraph of criticism for what i think is actually a pretty great design over all.

I agree with your criticism for the most part. I also have more of it to offer lol
They are on a make-everything-a-coupe bender, with Coup-UVs and whatnot.
So I see why they call the CLA a
coupe
.
They are also in wagon denial because they named it a “Shooting Brake”.
But it’s a good design :D

My hot take is that mercedes currently has the worst interiors of the big three german luxo makers. I think the E-class is particularly bad with the giant screen that goes across the dashboard. For some reason that looks incredibly cheap to me.

I wouldn’t mind the screen if it extended the length of the center console instead of stopping in the middle. Those vents would look cool if they were recessed into the dash instead of stuck to front as they are. I don’t get it.
